Getting started

Connect Your LMS, Read It the Same Session

There is no implementation project. You give LearnBoard read access to the LMS database you already run, and the Core dashboards fill with your own numbers before you have finished the coffee. Works with LearnNoow and Moodle.

Questions

Questions people ask before they connect anything.

What do I need before I start?

The connection details for your LMS database, and read access to it. That is the whole list. No plugin is required to start, no change window, and nothing is installed on your LMS server.

How long does connecting take?

Minutes. You enter the connection details in the browser, LearnBoard reads the structure of your LMS, and the Core dashboards are populated in the same session.

Do we need a developer?

No. Setup runs in a browser wizard. If you self-host LearnBoard itself, that installs the same way: upload one package, open the installer, answer the questions.

Can it change anything in our LMS?

No. The connection is read-only by construction, not by policy: a validator rejects any statement that is not SELECT, WITH, SHOW, DESCRIBE or EXPLAIN. There is no setting to get wrong.

What happens after 14 days?

It settles to the free plan. You keep your connection, your data and the 15 Core dashboards. Nothing expires into a locked screen and no card was ever taken.

Can we try it without connecting anything?

Yes. The demo runs on a synthetic dataset and needs a name, an email and a six-digit code. Nothing to install and nothing to connect.

Which platforms does LearnBoard support?

LearnNoow and Moodle. Connect either one read-only and the same dashboards, charts, alerts and AI answers run on it. Nothing is installed on LearnNoow; Moodle has two free companion plugins.
