Which Student Needs Someone This Week
Four dashboards for a school, built on a research-validated early-warning model rather than a generic risk score. Works with LearnNoow and Moodle.
- Built on the ABC modelAttendance, behaviour and course performance, where tripping one indicator is already a signal worth acting on.
- Awaiting data is a state, not a zeroAttendance and behaviour are your layers. Until they are connected those indicators say so rather than reporting nothing as if it were something.
- A parent view that reads like oneNo risk bands, no percentiles, no dense tables, and needs-attention in amber rather than red.

Questions
Questions about the K-12 schools pack and what it needs from you.
Do we need attendance and behaviour data?
Not to start. Course performance always runs on your LMS data. Attendance and behaviour are data you add yourself, and until they are connected those indicators show an awaiting-data state rather than a zero. The composite recomputes on whichever indicators are active.
What early-warning model is this?
The ABC model from Balfanz: attendance, behaviour and course performance, where tripping even one indicator signals materially elevated risk. Attendance trips below 90 percent, behaviour at two or more incidents, course performance on any failing course.
What do parents actually see?
A calm read-only summary of one child: enrolled courses, a single progress ring, a plain-language status line, what is coming up, recent activity and achievements. No risk bands, no percentiles, no dense tables. Needs-attention renders in amber, never in red.
Does the behaviour surface claim causation?
No. It reports a rank correlation between incident count and academic score, and the tooltip carries the method, the sample size and an explicit association-not-cause caveat. Below twelve learners with both an incident and a score, the band is withheld entirely.
Which platforms does LearnBoard support?
LearnNoow and Moodle. Connect either one read-only and the same dashboards, charts, alerts and AI answers run on it. Nothing is installed on LearnNoow; Moodle has two free companion plugins.
Read your own K-12 schools numbers
One read-only connection, everything open for 14 days, and the Core dashboards free after that. The K-12 schools pack is sold from Business.
